Cute little dog
Hi, everyone, I'm know know. I'm 12 years old this year. I'm a tall and handsome Chihuahua. I weigh 3.2kg. I have a pair of longan eyes. Blink and make people love me.
At the beginning of this year, I often had cough and asthma. In June, I saw a handsome doctor who said that I had valvular degenerative heart disease. It was almost MMVD stage C . I began to take medicine immediately. I had to take a lot of medicine every day. It was so bitter.
Slowly, I gasped, my eyes were black, I didn't know anything, and I couldn't use my hind legs.
In November 2021, I became more and more serious. I came to Shanghai Xinyu Pet Hospital and was treated by a handsome Taiwanese doctor. The owner wanted to perform minimally invasive mitral valve surgery for me.
Because of my small size, the complexity and risk of interventional surgery will be higher. I would like to thank my host for his decisive choice to arrange V-Clamp surgery for me.

[Summary of Preoperative Examination]
Radiographs showed: VHS 11.3, VLAS 2.3, enlarged cardiac contour, dilated left atrium, and a small amount of pulmonary hydrops in the pulmonary field.
Echocardiographic evaluation showed that preoperative mitral regurgitation, valve thickening and prolapse, posterior leaflet tethered, small mitral orifice area, and surgical operation were very challenging.

[Summary of Postoperative Examination]
Radiographs showed: VHS 10.3, VLAS 2.0, improved heart size, and clear lung fields.
Echocardiographic evaluation showed that mitral regurgitation decreased from MR5 + to MR2 + after V-Clamp clamping, with an improvement of about 70%, and there was no significant increase in transvalvular pressure.

After the operation, the patient recovered smoothly and all the cardiac indicators improved. It is a great honor for our team to help know know and complete this difficult task.
On December 8, 12 days after my mitral valve clamping operation, the doctor said that all my indicators had improved significantly, and everyone now calls me "lucky know know", hahaha.
